This rimless coin from the Chinese Mythical Creatures series was struck by the Perth Mint from two ounces of 99.99% pure silver and features two dragons and two phoenixes arranged around the yin-yang symbol. According to Chinese mythology, the dragon is considered a divine creature and powerful symbol of power, wealth and good fortune. The phoenix is an immortal bird that appears in times of peace and prosperity. The joint appearance of Dragon and Phoenix symbolizes a particularly powerful lucky charm. The fact that the dragon and phoenix are represented twice on the coin is, artistically speaking, a doubling of the strength of their auspicious influences. The design also includes stylized clouds and colored peonies - flowers that symbolize wealth and honor. On the reverse is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Additionally, the year of issue 2021, weight and fineness, as well as the denomination are featured. Through the Antique Finish each coin is given an individual appearance.
