This Antique Finish coin struck from five ounces of 99.99% pure silver is dedicated to the three gods Fu, Lu and Shou. In traditional Chinese culture, these three gods, also known as the Sanxing (= auspicious stars), represent good luck, success/prosperity and longevity. The motive features a colorful depiction of the "Three Stars" arranged around a yin-and-yang symbol. Three Chinese characters showing the names of the gods are also included in the design. Fu represents good fortune and is depicted as a scholar holding a child. Lu, which traditionally stands for success, appears as a mandarin and represents officialdom. In his care are a ceremonial scepter and a boat-shaped gold bar. Shou represents longevity and is depicted as an old man with a very high forehead and a long beard. He carries a curved staff as well as the peach of immortality. In addition to the three Chinese deities, other motives that augur good luck in Chinese culture are also featured on the coin - including bats, clouds, gourds, deer and cranes. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination, weight and fineness, and year of issue.
