This impressive Australian gold bullion coin features the Kangaroo, one of Australia's most famous landmarks. The coin was struck by the Perth Mint from one kilo of 99.99% pure gold. The motive features the classic representation of a jumping kangaroo by Dr. Stuart Devlin. It is framed by the inscriptions "AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO", "1 KILO 9999 GOLD" and the year of issue 2013. Below the kangaroo, the inscription "RED KANGAROO" and the mint mark "P" of the Perth Mint are shown. The reverse depicts the Jody Clark portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the denomination "3000 DOLLARS". The Australian Kangaroo Gold Coin, also called "Kangaroo" or "Nugget", has been issued by the Australian Perth Mint since 1986. Due to its original motive the gold coin is also known as "Australian Nugget". The rare 1 Kilo Kangaroo Gold coin is delivered in the original protective capsule of the Perth Mint.
