One giant leap for mankind: In 2019, we mark the 50th anniversary of moon landing, which is considered one of humanity's most important moments of endeavour. This unique set - for the first time in its history, the US Mint has entered into a coorperation with another mint - consists of two dome shaped coins commemorating the Apollo 11 lunar landing. The motive of the Australian coin features an Apollo 11 astronaut and the legendary lunar module with the earth visible in the background. The United States coin features a representation of the famous photograph 'Buss Aldrin on the Moon'. This special two-coin set is delivered in the original box including numbered certificates signed by both mint directors, by the CEO of the Royal Australian Mint and by the Director of the United States Mint.
