The incredible energy needed to transport the three astronauts into space, was only possible due to the engines of Saturn V. The five first stage engines, which developed 160 million horsepower, carried the 110 meter-long and initially 3000-tons heavy vesel to a height of 60 kilometers, direction space. In connection the engines of the second and the third stage started and finally brought Saturn V into space. The motive of the coin shows in color the impressive five engines of the first stage from Saturn V. Wernher von Braun, known for beeing a rocket-engineer in the 1940s, firstly developed the 'Vengeance-rockets', which were used as weapons in World War II by the Germans. Within the 'Apollo'-program he refined his craft. With this 8th issue of the series the physical genius in the development of the Saturn V roket is also honored. The Engine Saturn V Silver Eagle coin in color is worldwide limited to only 1,969 pieces and will be delivered in a coin capsule with product card.
