Struck by the Perth Mint, this adorable silver coin in proof quality shows an English bulldog puppy in color. English bulldogs have become increasingly popular worldwide over recent years because of their compact size and friendly temperament. The history of the English Bulldog probably goes back to antiquity, when Phoenicians crossed their Molosser with British mastiff-like dogs. The coin design depicts the inscription 'ENGLISH BULLDOG' and an English bulldog puppy with large, endearing eyes doing one of the things young dogs love best, playing with a shoe. The coin’s obverse features the Ian Rank- Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the inscriptions '1/2oz 9999 Ag 2018', 'QUEEN ELIZABETH II' and 'TUVALU 50 CENTS'.
