The fourth issue of the Celestial Animals Series is dedicated to the "Yellow Snake". The Premium Bullion Coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver and features an image of the Chinese mythical creature "Snake". The reverse shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and the year of issue. In Chinese Feng Shui, each of the five elements is represented by a different animal. This traditional philosophical doctrine from China is based on the harmony of the rooms and the influence of certain elements on people. The snake is assigned to the element earth and is located in the center. Unlike the other animals (turtle, dragon, phoenix and tiger) it is not assigned to a specific direction in the sky. Because of its yellow-brown color it can hardly be distinguished from the earth. The snake stands for a balanced existence of Yin and Yang. It is protected by the other animals and can guide and coordinate them equally. The limited silver bullion coin in uncirculated quality is delivered in a protective capsule.
