The new edition of the Australian Lunar Series III of the Perth Mint is dedicated to the Year of the Ox. Following the mouse, the Ox is the second animal in the Chinese Zodiac calendar. The second issue of the 12-year Lunar III series features a colored image of an ox and its calf standing on a riverbank in a rural surrounding. Also included in the design are the Chinese character for "Ox", the inscription "OX 2021" and the traditional mintmark "P" of the Perth Mint. The reverse shows the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the denomination, the weight and the fineness. Oxen possess an enormous work force and are the oldest documented draft animals, which are used in agriculture and other fields. Those born under the sign of the Chinese ox are considered friendly, intelligent, honest and reliable. They are characterized by a high work ethic, logical thinking and composure. The limited silver bullion coin in color is delivered in a protective capsule.
