This silver coin struck by the New Zealand Mint is the second issue of the new "Winnie the Pooh" series. The colorful motive shows Winnie the Pooh and his always good-humored friend Tigger. The scene emphasizes Tigger's very playful and exuberant character. A partial engraving, which lets the silver of the coin shine through, gives this coin additional charm. The reverse of the coin shows the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2020 and the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "NIUE" and "TWO DOLLARS". The original "Pooh Bear" was already created in the 1920s. At that time it was a literary figure by the author Alan Alexander Milne, which later served as a model for the Disney™ adaptations. Since then, Winnie the Pooh and his friends Piglet, Tigger and Co. have been especially popular with children. The coin was struck from one ounce of 99.9% pure silver.
