This exciting new release depicts the crew of the STAR TREK™ U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031. Released on 24 September 2017, Discovery is the sixth live-action series set in the STAR TREK universe. Struck 2019 by The Perth Mint from 2oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin features the Crew in color. Most prominent on the coin’s vividly colored reverse design is First Officer Michael Burnham. Further reflecting the diversity of the crew are, clockwise to the right of Burnham: cadet Sylvia Tilly, the Klingon Voq/Ash Tyler, Stamets, Captain Gabriel Lorca and First Officer Saru. Also included in the design is a depiction of the U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031™, the Discovery icon, and a representation of a nebulous galaxy background. The STAR TREK™ Discovery Crew silver proof coin is presented in a special coin case which lights up in blue when the lid is opened. This limited silver coin is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
