Description
100th Anniversary Tartu Peace Treaty
2 Euro - Uncirculated
- Mintage 10,000 pieces
- Delivery in Blistercard
This 2 Euro coin in uncirculated quality is dedicated to the memory of the peace treaty of Tartu. The signing of the treaty took place in the Estonian city of Tartu on 2 February 1920 and sealed the recognition of Estonia's independence by Russia. As a result of the signing of the treaty, the Russian-Estonian state border was established and the repatriation of deported Estonians and cultural assets from Russia back to Estonia was agreed. At the same time, Soviet Russia made peace with Finland. The motive of the coin shows a representation of branches and leaves symbolizing the blossoming of Estonia. The words "Tartu Rahu" are inside the branches. The commemorative coin is delivered in a blistercard.
