This 5 Euro collector's coin "Temperate Zone" with a green translucent polymer ring, is already the third issue of the 5-part series "Climate Zones of the Earth". The series started in 2017 and till 2021 one issue per year will be published. The coin was designed by the artist Peter Lasch from Berlin and features a typical cultural landscape of the temperate zone. The motive depicts a stylized open field corridor with the silhouette of the landscape- and zone-dominating mixed forest in the background. In the center of the motive sits a hare, which is a typical representative of open landscapes of the temperate zone. The change of season, which is typical for this climate zone, is expressed by an autumnal oak branch. The reverse, which is the same for all coins in the series, was designed by the artist Stefanie Radtke from Leipzig. It features the federal eagle and the inscriptions „BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND“, "5 EURO", the year 2019, the twelve stars of Europe as well as the mint mark of the Mint - "A" (Berlin), "D" (Munich), "F" (Stuttgart), "G" (Karlsruhe) or "J" (Hamburg). The plain edge of the coin contains the inscription: "KLIMAZONEN DER ERDE". The 5 Euro coin "Temperate Zone" consists of two different copper-nickel alloys and a translucent green polymer ring. The coin in proof quality is delivered in the original packaging.
