Sylvester J. Pussycat Sr.™ is a cartoon cat found in the animated series Looney Tunes™ and Merrie Melodies™. Created by Friz Freleng, the cat first appeared 1945 in the cartoon Life with Feathers. This coin from 1/2 ounce 99,99% silver features the funny cat in color. Sylvester is a tuxedo cat with a black and white coat and appears in more than 100 cartoons in the Golden Age. In these scenes he is usually hunting Tweety Bird, Speedy Gonzales or Hippety Hopper. Sylvester™ is one of the most popular Looney Tunes character. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions 'Tuvalu', '50 Cents', '1/2oz 9999 Ag', '2018' and 'Queen Elizabeth II' are depicted on the coin’s obverse.
